What are the ADSp?

The Allgemeine Deutsche Spediteurbedingungen are a uniform set of rules defining liability, jurisdiction and processes between forwarders and customers.

What do the ADSp specifically regulate?

• Liability limits: Capped per damage event.
• Supplementary insurance: Higher values must be covered separately.
• Limitation periods: 12 months after delivery.
• Complaints: Log visible damage on delivery.

Our recommendation

For high-value machines we recommend additional cargo insurance — the premium is 0.1 – 0.3 % of goods value.
